What does Klaxel check?

The A–F grade is built from 14 automated infrastructure checks across 6 categories: Certificates & TLS (cert expiry plus a deep SSL/TLS posture grade), Email auth (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX), Web security (HTTPS enforcement, HSTS, redirect integrity, subdomain-takeover detection), Indexability (robots/sitemap presence plus noindex-leak detection), DNS (nameservers, DNSSEC), and Reputation (IP/domain blacklist / DNSBL). Which TLDs are supported?

Any TLD with an official RDAP server in the IANA bootstrap registry — including .com, .net, .org, and .app. For ccTLDs not in the RDAP bootstrap (.io, .co, .me) we fall back to commercial WHOIS, so those are supported too (best-effort). The full A–F health grade runs on any well-formed domain regardless of expiry-source.

How do the alerts work?

You get an email the moment a security, deliverability or availability signal regresses (TLS, DMARC/SPF/DKIM, MX and more), a grade-drop email when a domain's overall letter grade slips, and an escalating expiry countdown at 60, 30, 14, 7, and 1 day out. Alerts are best-effort reminders; you remain responsible for renewing your domains.
